Creative Writing Group
Creative Writing group
What is it?
Creative writing for personal development and wellbeing can be stimulating, challenging, insightful, and satisfying. It can help develop self-understanding, cultivate individual growth and provide tools for coping with challenges throughout our lives. It is a good way of reflecting usefully on our experiences - good and not so good - and on learning from them. Above all it is fun!
Our meetings will be in no way ‘competitive’, or aimed at the production of great literature. We hope to provide a safe, supportive group in which to free your imagination and to enjoy exploring writing. No-one will be obliged to read anything out if they don’t want to!
No previous experience of creative writing is required. Simply come with a pen and paper, and see what you go away with.
When and where?
This group will meet one evening a month for 2 hours. Our venue is likely to be in Clifton, and our day Wednesday. Any of these details can be changed, depending on what suits people best.
