Overview

The content of the day will be similar to the course run earlier in the year. Educators will include Anne Whitehouse, Andy Eaton, Martyn Hughes, and Geoff Hogg. The day is supported by BRISDOC The aim of the day is to help you manage a broad range of acute problems presenting in and out of hours. Learning will be based around typical case scenarios, mini presentations, Q&A, discussions on managing challenging situations, risk and decision making, as well as local and national guidelines. The programme is designed to mirror an on-call day with a typical mix of telephone calls, challenging consultations, home visits and “phoned through abnormal results”. Educators The Educators are all GPs doing regular out of hours work for either Brisdoc in Bristol or Vocare in Somerset.
